Case studies

A few examples of Odoo and integration work by OnePC. Client names are left out on purpose.

Biometric attendance into Odoo 18

A multi-site organization

Problem. Staff clocked in on enterprise biometric terminals, but attendance in Odoo was entered by hand, and missed punches and night shifts made the numbers unreliable.

What we built. A custom Odoo 18 module that pulls punches from the access-control system into Odoo Attendance, maps each terminal and badge to the right employee, and handles the awkward cases: missed punches, duplicate scans and shifts that cross midnight.

Result. Attendance arrives in Odoo automatically and stays consistent across sites, ready for HR and payroll.

Access-control punches to SAP SuccessFactors

An industrial manufacturer

Problem. Time data from door and terminal scans had to reach SuccessFactors for payroll, but exports were manual and overnight shifts kept splitting into the wrong days.

What we built. A small integration service that reads terminal punches, groups them into shifts with windows that handle night work, and posts them to SuccessFactors as time events, with retries, duplicate protection and a full audit trail.

Result. Payroll receives clean time events without anyone re-keying data, and every event can be traced back to the original punch.

A safe copy of a live Odoo for upgrade and rescue work

A building-systems contractor

Problem. The business needed to test upgrades and custom changes on real data without any risk to the live system or to customers.

What we built. A full restore of the production Odoo Enterprise database into an isolated development copy, neutralized so it cannot send email, run scheduled jobs or call outside services.

Result. Changes and upgrades are tested on real data first, and production is only touched once the work is proven.

A project tracker built into Odoo 18

An engineering contractor

Problem. Project milestones and site progress lived in spreadsheets outside the ERP, so management had no single view.

What we built. A custom Odoo 18 module for milestones, site progress and the reports a contractor actually uses, designed to sit alongside the standard Project and Sales apps.

Result. Progress is tracked where the rest of the business already works, with one view for management.

Free QuickBooks to Odoo import module

Open source, anyone can check it

Problem. Teams moving from QuickBooks to Odoo spend days cleaning and importing customers, vendors, products and the chart of accounts.

What we built. An open-source Odoo module for Odoo 17 and 18 with a dry-run preview, duplicate protection and handling for QuickBooks file quirks, covered by 24 automated tests on both versions.

Result. Public and free on GitHub: odoo-quickbooks-import. For open invoices, bills and reconciliation we do the full migration.
