QuickBooks to Odoo ยท from $1,500 fixed
QuickBooks to Odoo migration, reconciled before you switch
Moving from QuickBooks to Odoo is mostly an accounting job, not an IT job. We move your customers, vendors, products, chart of accounts and open invoices and bills into Odoo, and reconcile the numbers against QuickBooks before you cut over. Fixed price, from $1,500.
What the migration covers
- Chart of accounts, mapped to Odoo account types.
- Customers and vendors, with addresses, contacts and payment terms.
- Products and services, with their income and expense accounts.
- Open invoices and bills, so receivables and payables in Odoo match QuickBooks on the cut-over date.
- Opening balances, checked against your QuickBooks trial balance.
Most businesses start from QuickBooks Online. If you are on QuickBooks Desktop, tell us your version and we will confirm what can be exported before quoting.
The steps we follow
- Review your QuickBooks file. We look at your accounts, lists, sales tax setup and inventory, then confirm a fixed price.
- Map the chart of accounts. Every QuickBooks account is mapped to an Odoo account and type. You or your accountant approve the mapping.
- Load master data. Customers, vendors and products are cleaned of duplicates and inactive records, then imported.
- Trial migration. We run the full import into a test database and compare trial balance, receivables aging and payables aging with QuickBooks.
- Cut-over. On the agreed date you stop entering transactions in QuickBooks, we run the final import, reconcile again, and you start working in Odoo.
What we need from you
- Access to QuickBooks, or exports of your chart of accounts, customer, vendor and product lists.
- A trial balance plus receivables and payables aging reports as of the cut-over date.
- Your Odoo database (version and edition) and admin access to it.
- Your sales tax setup and, if you carry stock, a quantity count and unit costs.
- A cut-over date agreed with whoever signs off your books.
Typical pitfalls
Chart-of-accounts mapping
QuickBooks and Odoo use different account types, and Odoo's localization package installs a chart of accounts of its own. Sub-accounts, duplicate accounts and accounts used for two purposes all need a decision.
Open receivables and payables
A single opening-balance figure for receivables is not enough: you need to know who owes what. We bring each open invoice and bill across individually, including partial payments and credits, so you can keep collecting and paying from Odoo on day one.
Sales tax
QuickBooks may calculate sales tax for you automatically. In Odoo, taxes and fiscal positions are configured explicitly, and the tax already sitting in open invoices has to land in the right tax accounts. Your sales tax liability should match on both sides at cut-over.
Inventory valuation
If you track inventory, both quantities and value have to come across, and Odoo's costing method and stock valuation accounts need to be chosen before the import. A stock count close to the cut-over date makes the opening value much easier to defend.
Transaction history
The fixed price covers balances and open items. Most businesses keep QuickBooks available read-only for history. If you need more history in Odoo, ask and we will quote it separately.
Pricing and timelines
A QuickBooks to Odoo migration starts from $1,500, fixed. The final price depends on the number of records, whether inventory is involved, and how many companies or currencies you run. You get the price and a cut-over plan with dates before any work starts. The biggest factor in timing is usually how quickly the exports and approvals come back.

Frequently asked questions
Can you migrate QuickBooks Online to Odoo?
Yes. QuickBooks Online is the most common starting point. We move customers, vendors, products, the chart of accounts and open invoices and bills, and reconcile them before cut-over.
Do you move our full transaction history?
The fixed price covers opening balances and open invoices and bills. Most businesses keep QuickBooks read-only for history. If you need more history in Odoo, we quote it separately.
How do you make sure the numbers match?
We run a trial migration first and compare the trial balance and the receivables and payables aging reports with QuickBooks, then do the same check again after the final import.
What happens to sales tax?
We set up the taxes in Odoo to match your QuickBooks setup and make sure the tax in open invoices lands in the right accounts, so your sales tax liability matches on both sides at cut-over.
How much does a QuickBooks to Odoo migration cost?
From $1,500 as a fixed price. Inventory, several companies or several currencies add to it, and you get the final number before we start.
